Founders move through distinct phases: early clarity, momentum, uncertainty, growth, and long-term leadership. Each phase brings different pressures and decisions.

I partner with startup founders across the company journey, offering steady thought partnership when decisions are complex and the path forward is not obvious.

I help founders step confidently into uncharted leadership territory, align their teams and resources, and scale their business with clarity and impact.

Founder realities

You may be navigating:

  • Fundraising, investor dynamics, or post-raise recalibration

  • High-stakes decisions with incomplete information

  • A leadership role that keeps shifting as the company grows

  • Isolation, pressure, and the struggle to find aligned investors

  • The ongoing challenge of aligning values, strategy, and execution

  • Technical language and the need for concise communication

Why work with Christa

I bring a systems-level understanding of entrepreneurship, leadership, and capital, paired with experience supporting founders inside complex ecosystems.

My background includes venture capital and angel investing, along with founder mentorship through Smart Futures Lab, MIT Solve, Launch NY, Chloe Capital, and the Carnegie Mellon Swartz Center for Entrepreneurship. I’ve worked with dozens of founders, often purpose-driven leaders and women operating in traditionally male-dominated fields.

My work is grounded in the belief that diverse technical leadership is essential to solving complex global challenges

How we work together

Our work is collaborative, focused, and responsive to where you are in the journey.

The focus and structure shift as your company and leadership role evolve.

Entry

Laying the foundation

In the early stages, the focus is on customer discovery, market fit, and establishing a clear strategic foundation. Our work centers on helping you clarify priorities, strengthen your thinking, and prepare for external engagement—including conversations with investors.

At this stage, I often serve as a strategic advisor, supporting:

  • Early positioning and strategic clarity

  • Readiness for investor conversations

  • Identification of appropriate incubators, accelerators, and support resources

  • Early preparation for fundraising and data room development

This phase is about building judgment and structure that will hold up as intensity increases.

A strong growth plan also includes recovery and recalibration. Coaching helps founders prioritize sustainability early—before pressure and pace make it harder to step back and realign.

Build

Navigating growth and complexity

As you move toward commercialization, decisions become more frequent and more complex. This phase often includes fundraising, team growth, pilot partnerships, and increased external expectations.

Our work focuses on strengthening clarity and alignment by:

  • Determining priorities amid competing demands

  • Supporting strategic decision-making as the business model evolves

  • Enhancing your ability to engage aligned investors, partners, advisors, and customers

Coaching in this phase helps founders move forward intentionally rather than reactively—especially when the stakes are high.

Sustain

Leading for the long term

With aligned investors and customers in place, the challenge becomes durability. Your role as a leader continues to expand, and the work shifts toward sustaining focus, judgment, and direction over time.

In this phase, coaching supports:

  • Leadership that scales with the company

  • Ongoing alignment between strategy, values, and execution

  • Maintaining clarity and momentum through growth, change, or transition

The aim is not just growth, but leadership you can sustain over the long arc of the company.

What changes

Founders often leave with:

- Clearer priorities and stronger judgment

- Better alignment between values, strategy, and action

- Greater confidence navigating uncertainty and growth

In practice, this often includes:

Increased leadership confidence

An expanded ecosystem of customers, collaborators, and influencers who want to help bring your vision to life

Greater alignment with your team, board members, and other key stakeholders

The aim is not just progress, but leadership you can sustain over time.

“Christa’s ability to pull ideas and solutions from me continued to amaze me. I came into this coaching thinking there were no clear answers, yet with her guidance, it all became very clear. From there, a path was created and I was on my way.”
